European University Alliance StudyEU Amber Road

1. About the Alliance

The University of Novo mesto is a proud member of the StudyEU Amber Road European University Alliance. StudyEU Amber Road is a European university network that brings together higher education institutions located along the historic Amber Road – one of Europe's oldest transportation, trade, and cultural routes. This symbolic path once connected Northern and Southern Europe; today, it serves as a modern platform for linking knowledge, ideas, and people.

The alliance is built on shared European values such as inclusion, quality education, sustainability, solidarity, digital transformation, and the development of knowledge and innovation. It unites universities from diverse cultural, geographical, and academic backgrounds, creating a rich and dynamic environment for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices.

What Unites Us?
Despite the diversity of partner institutions, we are united by a shared belief that European education must be:

accessible,
internationally connected,
future-oriented,
and deeply intertwined with society and its needs.

The alliance aims to strengthen international cooperation, promote the mobility of students and staff, foster innovative teaching practices, and contribute to sustainable development and European cohesion.
