European Researchers' Night 2024

Science Within Reach: Interactive Encounters with Science for Schools and the Community at the University of Novo mesto

The European Researchers' Night, held at the University of Novo mesto with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, attracted more than 350 participants, including primary and secondary school pupils, teachers, seniors and researchers. The event focused on a wide range of topics, including a workshop on optimising athletic performance, a lecture on the use of generative artificial intelligence in education, a discussion on stress and mental health, a workshop on peer violence, an interactive hands-on session on life-saving skills, a lecture on myths and facts about dietary supplements, and a presentation on the green transition across EU countries.

European Researchers' Night at the University of Novo mesto thus provided an excellent opportunity to connect educational institutions, the wider public, and experts with the goal of fostering curiosity and a spirit of inquiry across all generations.
